“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you , O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? My tears have been my food day and night, while men say to me all day long, ‘Where is your God?’”Psalm 42: 1-3 NIV (New International Version)
God is always there waiting for us to come to Him, to desire to be in His presence. He never forces His Will on us, but rather is patient waiting for us to choose to be with Him. The deer come to the pasture to feast because they are hungry. They come to streams of water 💦 to quench their thirst. Just like the deer, we are given a choice whether to hunger and thirst for God. I thirst after the righteousness of God, longing to be like Christ and live as He desires me to live.
God bless. May you be blessed and drink from the living water of Jesus Christ. May your thirst be quenched as you draw nearer to God.
