Throwback Family Portraits

Through the Ages of Time

For this week I selected photos which were handed down to me by my maternal grandmother after my maternal grandfather passed. The last selection was one of my father’s photos I received after he passed.

I am so thankful for the many photos that I have received and will treasure them always. Each one tells a little piece of my families history.

  1. Great old photos! They knew how to name them in those days. Doyce, Nornal Hole, et al. 👏

    2. Nornal Hule. His name always got printed wrong on junk mail as well as other things. Usually it got written as Normal or Norman.

    1. Thank you! I have albums of my Dad’s slides I’m slowly trying to digitise. It is a slow process especially since I don’t have much time to work on it. My grandson has my full attention right now.

  4. The first two are both my maternal great grandfather’s family. The first with his first wife before she died from typhoid and the second with his second wife and the children they had together. He had 16 children total.
