There are two ways in which you can participate:
Leave your answers to this week’s questions in the comments box below or create your own post and link back to this one.
Ping-backs are activated, but don’t always work properly, so to play safe, leave a link in a comment or if you prefer, leave just the link so that I can see it.
(Instructions on how ping-backs work are found by clicking here. Thanks! )
To make it easy for others to check out your post, title or tag your blog post “Share Your World”.

Here are my answers this week:

1. What season are you in where you live, and what time is it?

Spring is in the air in my neck of the woods (area). The days are warming, the flowers are blossoming, Spring sports ⚾️ are active and Coleman is ready for sleeping past 5:30 am.

2. What is your favourite season of the year?

I like Spring, Summer, and Autumn. Do not care for the cold winter weather season. Spring is the season of warming and flowering. Summer leads to hotter weather, water fun, and the opportunity to be on a time-free schedule (or lack of a time consuming schedule). Autumn is the season of cooling weather, beautiful foliage colouring the landscapes. I maybe odd, but I actually prefer the Summer Season except for when the heatwaves rise towards extreme temperatures.

3.  Can you ski or ice skate?

Ski? I have never Snow skied ⛷️and do not have excellent balance for ice skating⛸️ . I have Waterskied 🚤 and enjoyed it tremendously in my youth.

4. When was the last time you built a snowman?

I’m not sure if I’ve built I snowman ☃️. I have made an igloo though in the early nineteen nineties with the Boy Scouts of America.

Di from pensitivity101 hosts Share Your World. Each week she challenges us to answer unique questions about ourselves/ our lives. This week’s questions are about our “firsts” of various objects. Can you remember your “Firsts?”

Here are this week’s questions:

  1.  Can you remember your first camera? The first camera I ever used was one of my dad’s older cameras, an Argus 40 Box Camera. Later on I used a Kodak Instamatic X-15 126 cartridge camera. In high school I bought my first 35 mm camera, a Minolta XG-7 (which I still own). I have been using a Canon EOS Rebel T3i DSLR camera since 2014.
  2.  Can you remember when you had your first mobile phone? I didn’t own a mobile phone until, I think, around 2002/3. I believe it was a Motorola similar to the MOTOROLA MC2-41h11 talkabout.
  3.  Can you remember your first car. If you don’t drive, can you remember your parent’s car? Before I mention the first car I ever drove/owned let me tell you the first car I remember my dad ever driving. It was a 1949 Ford Tudor 2-door Sedan. [My dad had a model 1949 Tudor Sedan he painted to look exactly like the one he owned at one time.] The first cars I ever drove was a 1962 Ford Galaxie (manual steering) and a 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 Select-a-Shift (all 2-doors). The 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 later became my first car.
  4.  What was your first job as an adult? The first job I had after high school was as a nurses aide at Alvarado Convalescent Hospital. ( I took nurse aide training my senior high of high school, however, I didn’t manage too well with the science courses so never became a nurse.)

Di’s questions for this week:

  1. What colour are you wearing today? Right now I am wearing a Green Til Valhalla 22 a Day shirt. It supports ending Veteran Suicide .
  2. Will you be cooking lunch today, having something cold, or going out to eat? Before I get into lunch, let me share our breakfast. Today’s breakfast ( Coleman’s 2nd meal) is homemade apple cinnamon “hoho” mini waffles. I make them using Bisquick, instant apple cinnamon oatmeal, 1 egg, unsweetened applesauce, oil, and cinnamon sugar. I bought a Christmas tree mini waffle iron at Christmas time which Coleman refers to as the “Hoho” maker. He wants “HoHo’s” every day. However, I don’t cook them everyday. I vary his meals. I said they were his 2nd breakfast because he always wakes up hungry & I’m not fully awake when he is. So, I fix him fresh fruit and/or cereal or dairy free yogurt before I cook his hot breakfast.
  3. Does hot weather drain your strength or agree with you? I adore warm weather. I prefer it to not be too hot, but definitely not cold. It is not the hot weather that is draining my strength but the humidity that comes along with it on some hot summer days. The heat and humidity is only bothersome when Coleman and I are out hiking in the woods or on a greenway ( which is usually still among the trees and near a river or a lake. At those times the perspiration from the humidity is consistently needing to be wiped away so I can see. However, that doesn’t prevent us from enjoying and completing our hikes.
  4. Do you have air conditioning in your property? Currently we have air conditioning. I have lived without air conditioning for most of my life. I actually ( and I know I might be unusual in this) prefer not to have air conditioning. In my line of thinking, air conditioners tend to circulate air borne pollutants and dust that aggravate my sinuses. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy cool air or cool weather. I love to feel a cool cross breeze throughout the home from open windows. The lovely scent of fresh air is calming to my senses.
