Never means that at no time in the past, present, or future; on no occasion; not ever. Simply put it means that we will never do something; not now, not ever. So don’t hold your breath for me to change my mind. I will never give up.

The Bible speaks several times about the term never. It speaks of what God will never do. The following is just a few of the things that God will never do.

  • God will never leave us

“ Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

—- Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV (New International Version)
  • God will never forsake you

“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’”

— Hebrews 13:5 ESV (English Standard Version)
  • God will Never let the righteous be shaken

“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.”

— Psalm 55:22 NIV
  • God will Never forget me

“Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet I will not forget thee.”

— Isaiah 49:15 KJV (King James Version)
  • God will never let me go

“And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.”

— John 10:28 NJKV ( New King James Version)

If God never gives up on us, how can we give up on ourselves? We need to follow God’s example and NEVER give up.

Enemies: Why should we Love them?

In Romans 12:20-21, we are instructed to feed our enemies if they are hungry, give them something to drink if they are thirsty. We should not be like them, instead we should treat them with kindness.

How many of us would rather fight fire with fire 🔥? For many of us, that is probably our first instinct. However, that does not make it right. Being unkind toward others only makes them dislike us more and fuels their emotions against us.

It is better to treat others with kindness no matter how they treat us. Goodness and kindness always generates goodness and kindness. Just like they old saying “ Garbage in, Garbage out.” Positivity brings about positive outcomes. In other words, they best way to turn an enemy towards friendship is to shower them with love and kindness.

“Love you enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.”

Matthew 5:44 NIV (New International Version)

We are commanded by God to love ❤️ our enemies. We are instructed to follow His example in loving those who seek to do us harm. Sometimes it is not easy to love someone, but that doesn’t mean we should treat them badly. We need to treat everyone, friend or foe, with love, respect, and kindness. By doing so, we are illustrating God’s love ❤️ and goodness towards them. It is by our example they’ll become aware of God’s love. It is God’s love that will lead them towards being kind to others, even you.

God bless. Be kind to all. Love everyone. God loves you! I appreciate y’all.

Superpower: What’d you like yours to be?

Superman – Superpowers

Did you watch Superman or a different superhero growing up? Did you ever dream of having your very own superpowers? I watched Superman growing up, never actually imagined myself having any superpowers though.

What’s your superpower?

Before one can decipher their superpower, we must first define what we mean by superpower. Most commonly superpower is referred to as supernatural abilities like flight, enhanced strength, invulnerability, or enhanced speed. Probably the best definition though is a Power that is superior or very great. Your superpower is your contribution, the role you are supposed to fulfill here on Earth. It is what you do better than anyone else. A superpower is not a skill, but a perspective, a mindset, a way of working that enhances everything you touch.

A few examples of superpowers are:

  • Endurance, strength or resilience… you enjoy challenges and use them as an opportunity to preserve.
  • Observation…
  • Speed…
  • Agility…
  • Sensitivity to what other people are thinking and feeling…
  • The power to influence your environment… You have strong persuasive skills and enjoy leading others.
  • Flying… You are willing to take risks and enjoy seeing things from new perspectives.

There are many other examples of superpowers that one might have. Some types of superpowers that are being taught to children in some areas are:

  • Courage
  • Openness
  • Humor
  • Authenticity
  • Creativity
  • Gratitude
  • Compassion

The list could go on and on. I never considered these abilities as being superpowers before. Have you?

I think it is fantastic that children are being taught that they have superpowers. Would you have that to teach your children they have superpowers? That humor, the ability to make others laugh, is a superpower. That Love, the ability to love unconditionally and easily, is a superpower. I think teaching children they have superpowers would help uplift their esteem, build their self-confidence.

As a leader you have superpowers as well. A leader’s “superpower” is their most positive and impactful personality asset. It is the part of oneself that influences, persuades and inspires others to follow. What make you shine?

Types of Superpowers

Using the above list, I would determine that I would have more than one superpower. I have Compassion, Empathy, Kindness, Love, Gratitude, and Love of Learning as my superpowers. I have an appreciation for all these abilities; however, I believe I am not influential in them at this time period in my life.

Stop and take the time to consider what your superpower might be. How would you use your superpower? Be sure to use your superpowers positively and for the benefit of others. We all have superpowers, we just never realized it. Embrace your superpower.

God Bless. Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate y’all. Would enjoy hearing from y’all, so please like, comment, and follow.

Laughter

What makes you laugh? What makes me laugh? What is laughter? To laugh is to show emotion with a chuckle or an explosive vocal sound. To laugh also implies finding amusement or pleasure in something.

Do you find things to laugh about easily? I use to be able to laugh easily, but not so much anymore. Especially not since Covid-19 and it’s mandatory protocols have been in place.

It is said that laughter is the best medicine. Do you find that to be true in your own life? I wish it was that easy to laugh. Sometimes life’s circumstances just make it more difficult to happen.

What are the benefits of being laughing? There are several benefits divided into three categories which include Physical, mental, and social.

The physical benefits include strengthening your immune system, boosting your mood, and diminishing pain. Laughter relaxes the whole body, burns calories, protects your heart, and triggers the release of endorphins.

The mental benefits include easing anxiety, adding joy, improves your mood, lightens your burdens, inspires hope, and keeps you focused and alert. It also helps to release anger and enables you to forgive more easily and sooner.

The social benefits consists of strengthening relationships, enhancing teamwork, and aids in defusing conflict.

What are some ways that you can encourage laughter? Just a few ways involve watching a funny movie, reading a funny story, laughing at oneself, and not dwelling on the negative.

The Bible mentions laugh, laughter, and joy in several places in both the Old and New Testaments.

Genesis 21:6 “Gos has brought me laughter, and every who hears about this will laugh with me.”

Proverbs 17:22 says, “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.”

Ecclesiastes 3:4 (ESV) “A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;”

And in Philippians 4:4 (ESV) it states, “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, Rejoice.”

In conclusion, we learn that the Bible states that we should laugh & it us good medicine. We’ve learned that there are many benefits to our physical, mental, and social well-being for laughter. We’ve also learned that we should look on the positive aspect of our circumstances and take time to laugh at ourselves, a movie, a book, or with a friend.

Take time in your day to laugh. Keep a positive outlook. God bless.
