Word of the Day: Change

CHANGE

“Change your thoughts and you change your world.”

Change is to make something or someone different by altering or modification. It is the act or instance making or becoming different. We can change our appearance, our circumstances, or even our attitudes. Sometimes we can make those changes ourselves and sometimes we need to be brave and ask for help in order for change to be made possible. Never be ashamed for needing assistance in making changes in your life. Whether you seek help from a friend, a counselor, or from God doesn’t matter so much as the realization that change is needed and you’re willing to make change happen.

Woman’s Day

Sometimes, in life, we don’t want to admit that change or changes need to occur. Sometimes we are too forgiving and overlook faults or feel things are our fault. Sometimes we don’t believe that change is possible and instead we accept that life is just how it is.

I’m telling you that change is possible. If you don’t believe me, ask God. God can make anything possible. He can help change our situations, our circumstances, our attitudes and our reactions. There is nothing that God can’t do.

If you need help He Will always be there to help. He may bring people into your life to bring you into awareness that change is needed or he may bring someone into your life to help that changes to occur. Never be afraid to ask for help. Never be skeptical about making changes. Changes in this life are natural and may happen regardless of what you say or do.

God Bless. Be brave. Help is there for the asking. Change is possible. Let’s grow through life’s changes. Thank you! Remember I appreciate y’all.

Changing The World

How am I changing the world? How are you changing the world? That is a thought-provoking question. One might think that they cannot do anything to change the world. But why not? To change the world does not mean you have to do something big or extraordinary to change the world. Each and every one of us can change the world one step, one thought, one act of kindness, one person at a time. It is the little things that we do every day in our lives that help to change the world.

When you assist a friend, help a neighbor, say a kind word to anyone you are helping to change the world. When you give a gift without expecting anything in return, when you cook a meal for someone in need, you are helping to change the world. A smile, a note of encouragement, a hug, being considerate and respectful of others are all ways we impact the world for change. We do not have to be famous, a politician, a pro-athlete, to make a difference in the world. The most effective changes occur in the small things, the daily moments of kindness we can demonstrate every day.

So, what am I doing to help change the world? I help my daughter out my watching my grandson so she can work. I send notes of encouragement to others. I recycle whenever possible. I try to reduce or eliminate my use of plastic as much as possible, which includes bringing my own reusable grocery bags to the store. I try to treat everyone with kindness. I spend time in nature walking and am considerate of others on and off the trails.

These are just a few things I do and a small example of what you could do to impact change in the world. All it takes it one step at a time, one act of kindness, one word of thanks, one smile. It is the simple things that make all the difference. Let us all work together and individually to change the world one step at a time.
