California has some beautiful coastline. These were taken way back in 1974 in Long Beach, California.
This first one was taken looking over the Pacific Ocean and Pier J, Port of Long Beach. The view was taken from aboard the Queen Mary.

Just look at the pastels in the skyline and shoreline. It’s an amazing view looking out over the Pacific Ocean from the Queen Mary.

Thank you Terri! I hadn’t really thought about it being 50 years ago. Been & still am slowly working through my dad’s old slides to get the digitized for preservation and future generations.?

1974 is significant to us in 2024…I met a 14 yr old boy at Helix High School in La Mesa who eventually became my husband 11 years ago. It’s great you are saving the memories digitally.

Thank you! 1974 is the year I graduated from Herbert Hoover High School SD. Preserving my dad’s slides is a way for me to remember the trips we took, the memories we shared, as we as the love that bound us together. I never stop missing my dad and he’s been gone for 27 1/2 years.
