From the time Coleman began walking I have had him hiking out in the woods amongst the Trees teaching him to love nature and the importance of Leaving No Trace. Emphasizing the importance of carrying out what we bring into the woods, carrying out our trash if no disposal contains are available and what is in nature naturally stays in nature. We may take pictures, but leave only footprints.
“Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.”

I am extremely grateful that Coleman loves being out in nature amongst the Trees as much as I do. I hope and pray he always will love, respect, and protect nature.

I am an avid reader. I read mostly Amish fiction but also read other novels. I enjoy romance, mystery, and Christian devotionals. I enjoy hiking in the outdoors, especially in Greenways and State or National Parks. I love my grandson. He is my favorite subject, so I'll post about him and his antics.

Stunning trees, Deb, as well as lovely quotes! I’m so glad you’re teaching Coleman to appreciate nature. I’ve read too many instances where young people are defacing areas of our national parks for clicks on their Instagram accounts. Its sickening. I hope Coleman reads your posts some day.
Thank you Terri! Hopefully you’ll stay connected to the outdoors & nature for a lifetime. Right now he has very little screen time (tv included). The only screen time is what schools are forcing very young children to have (which I don’t agree with at this young stage of education).
These are beautiful! Love the redwoods.
