God’s Heart ❤️ Overflows: God Loves You!

God
Loved
the
World

“He escorts me to the banquet hall; it’s obvious how much he loves me.”

—— Song of Solomon 2:4 (NLT)

Do you ever feel like no one loves you? That you are unlovable? Sorry to say, you are not alone. One of the greatest human needs is love ❤️. Many people feel there is a deficit of love in their lives.

The deepest desire of every human heart is to be known and to be loved. Father Joe Campbell once said “This desire reaches its fullness in the desire to be known by God himself.”

Love is a deep affection for someone. We begin learning about love from the moment we are born. Children either feel loved by their parents or not. Sometimes parents are too wrapped up in themselves to notice how their child/children feel or what they think. Whether they are too absorbed in work, drinking, or their own desires doesn’t matter. What matters is the children. Children need to feel loved. Everyone needs to know they are loved, respected, and understood. To be loved for who they are unconditionally.

God is the essence, fulfillment, and source of love. His love is strong and resilient, forgiving and boundless. God has more than enough love for everyone, no matter how many come to Him. God’s love is a feast in the wilderness. God’s love is a free gift. If you ask, He will fill your heart to overflowing. If you allow him to fill you with His love, you need to share it with others.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

—- John 3:16
John 3:16

“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”

—- Ephesians 3:18-19
“… He has given us
the Holy Spirit
to fill our hearts
with His love.”
—— Romans 5:5

Human love can never fully satisfy the love starved heart. Only when it is mingled with God’s love can it stand the test of time. God wants to love you like you have never been loved before. He has invited you to His banquet table. Come share in His love.

“…You bless the godly, O LORD; You surround them with Your shield of love.”
—- Psalm 5:11-12

“We love him, because he first loved us.”

1 John 4:19 (KJV)
1 John 4:19

God Bless. Thank you! I appreciate y’all.

Jesus is Always with YOU

“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen”

Matthew 28:20 (KJV)

In the book of Matthew, in the Bible, Matthew quotes Jesus speaking to his disciples. Jesus is instructing them to teach others everything he has taught them. He is also letting them (and us) know that He is Always with them (us, me and you).

Matthew 28:20

Do you ever feel like you are all alone? Feeling alone doesn’t necessarily mean you are physically all by yourself. Sometimes a person can feel like they are all alone even when they are surrounded by friends and family.

In this passage, Jesus is reminding us that He is and always will be with us. He is letting us know we do not need to be afraid. No matter what we are going through, He is with us to help us through life’s struggles.

God tells us over and over again throughout the Bible that He is always with us and that Jesus will never ever leave us. Below are a few more verses stating this fact, “I am with you always.”

“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.”

Isaiah 43:2 (NLT)
Isaiah 43:2 (NLT)

“Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Isaiah 41:10 (NASB)
Isaiah 41:10
Do not fear, for I am with you. Isaiah 41:10

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.

Deuteronomy 31:6

He is always there, waiting for you to reach out to Him. He is always willing and able to help you no matter the circumstances. Do not ever think He is not there for you. God loves you!

God Bless. Thank you! Remember Jesus loves you. I appreciate y’all.

What is Real Love? Being Loved by God

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

1 John 3:1 (NIV)
1 John 3:1 (ESV)

Do you know what real love is? True love means that you have an unwavering, unbreakable, and unparalleled fondness and devotion for someone. True love includes respect, admiration, never hurting anyone, and never subjecting anyone to humiliation or abuse. True love involves communication, affection, trust, appreciation, and mutual respect.

The Bible lists the following characteristics for love:

  • Love is Patient
  • Love is Kind
  • It does not Envy
  • It does not Boast
  • It is not Proud

Love

How can we know real true love? Real true Love comes from God, the Father. His love is unlike any love which humans possess. His love is always unconditional and always lasts for an eternity. This kind of Love us known as Agape Love. True Agape Love is a willed Love. It is the highest form of love, charity, and it is the love God has for mankind, and the love man has for God.

Agape ❤️ Love
John 3:16

Agape Love is selfless and sacrificial. It is mentioned over 200 times in the Bible. God’s love is perfect, unconditional agape love which He has for you, for me, and for the whole world 🌎.

Agape Love is a choice. It doesn’t come out of attraction or obligation. It is the kind of love that Jesus Christ displayed on the cross when He took our place and took upon himself the sun of the World, including yours and mine.

“God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”

1 John 4:16

17 “Therefore My Father lloves Me, mbecause I lay down My life that I may takeit again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I layit down of Myself. I nhave power to lay itdown, and I have power to take it again. oThis command I have received from MyFather.”

John 10:17-18 (NKJV)

Let the love of God dwell in you. Let Him demonstrate His Unconditional, Unending, selfless sacrificial love to you. God loves you! You are Loved!

Rambling on ….. ranting ….. sometimes you just need to vent hoping someone understands.

I don’t get out much since the pandemic began, not sure 🤔 who is safe to be around. My eye sight is not as good as it used to be, therefore I do not drive and go places much. Sometimes I am so lonely I could cry. Maybe it’s of my own making, maybe it’s an inner turmoil, and maybe it’s a feeling of being unloved.

It doesn’t matter what you call it, feelings are real. People, especially family, don’t seem to understand. They are too wrapped up in themselves and their phones to even notice.

I was able to borrow my daughter’s car yesterday, so I went for a drive. I checked my mailbox 📫, mostly junk, but it needed cleared out. Later I went and visited a friend I hadn’t seen in person for two years. It felt good.

My daughter texted and asked if I was okay since I was in the same area for a couple hours. I hadn’t realized I was on a time limit with her car. Who knew? Not me.

I said to her I was visiting a friend. She replied “Huh, a friend????” That was like a slap in my face, as if she didn’t think I had any friends. True most of my friends I only communicate with online nowadays, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have any friends at all. It makes me sad that she thinks I have no one, not a single friend.

After her text, I left my friend’s home and headed back “home”. I say “home” in quotation marks because I get reminded all the time it is not my home. I’ve just been staying there for the past two years taking care of my grandson, but I can’t call it home according to them.

After all that, I arrived back to find out she wasn’t even home. So then I wonder why was she so concerned about his long I was gone. After all she said I could use her car. I think she thought I would only check my mail & come straight back. I guess I surprised her when I didn’t.

Today, I’m sitting all alone in room. She hasn’t checked on me, texted me, or anything. At times like this it seems, to me, I don’t exist to her.

Enough ranting… I know God loves me and cares for me. I’ll be alright.

God bless. Be a friend. Let people know you care about them. Show others love and kindness.

Loneliness: Good or Bad? Feel lonely when you’re not alone?

People think being alone makes you
lonely, but I don’t think that’s true.
Being surrounded by the wrong people
is the loneliest thing in the world.
— Kim Culbertson
©️Lifehack

Alone is having no one else around, being by yourself. Lonely describes a feeling of sadness from isolation or abandonment. One can be alone without feeling lonely. And one could be surrounded by people and yet feel very lonely.

Loneliness does not come
from being alone,
but from being surrounded by people
who can’t understand you. A deep feeling of isolation comes
when you realize that even the person
standing right next to you
is unreachable.
Being alone
does not mean you are lonely,
and being lonely does not mean
you are alone.

Have you ever felt lonely even though you were surrounded by others? Sometimes you can be around family or friends and still feel like you are all alone. You feel empty inside, a feeling of being invisible, being ignored, and or feeling unloved and like no one cares.

No I may not be
physically alone….
But mentally there
is no one in sight….
—— The Minds Journal

Loneliness can be normal, and can be an indicating factor of an underlying disease when feelings become extremely all-consuming and interfere with your daily life. Loneliness is NO fun. It is apparently bad for you. People who are lonely may be a greater risk for some types of inflammatory diseases.

Although loneliness is not considered a mental illness in and of itself, it is, however, strongly linked to mental health issues.

Loneliness is not just a
feeling of being alone, it’s
fear, depression, inferiority,
it’s a collection of negative
emotions building up a
massive wall around you. —— Therightmessages.com

What are some ways to deal with your feelings of loneliness?

  • Face your feelings of loneliness….don’t run away from your feelings….
  • Don’t judge yourself for feeling lonely….no time for a pity party….
  • Figure out how much connection you need and work towards it….Don’t forget you need others….
  • Dismiss your belief that no one understands you….There’s nothing wrong with your feelings….if necessary find someone you can talk to….
  • Reconnect with your original self….connect with love ❤️…..God is love….

Does the Bible say anything about loneliness, feeling alone?

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you, he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV (New International Version)

“Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.”

Psalm 25:16 NIV

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Isaiah 41:10 NIV

A Prayer for Loneliness:

“Heavenly Father, I need your comfort as I am feeling lonely. Help me to remember that you see me even when others don’t. Be with me through this trial I am going through. Help me understand that I am going through this for a reason and that you will see me through this; That I can conquer this because you are with me.”

Happy Valentine’s Day! Is it for Romance or for everyone?

Valentine’s Day is celebrated worldwide, most commonly on February 14th. Did you celebrate? As for today, I did not celebrate it. I did, however, send Valentine’s Day cards to a few friends.

Valentine’s Day is celebrated to honor the 3rd century Roman saint, Saint Valentine. It began as a Christian festival. The festival was an alternative to a pagan Roman festival called Lupercalia. It was held during the middle of February. A fact that I had not previously known was that there were more than one Saint Valentine. Did you know that there were two Saint Valentine’s that were martyred?

Growing up, Valentine’s Day was celebrated at school, at least in elementary school. We would decorate lunch bags with hearts and other designs depicting Valentines. All the students would pick out their pack of Valentine cards they wanted to pass out to their classmates. Carefully sign their name to all the cards, enough for the whole class, including the teacher. Some packs were funny, others more general, and still others had candy attached to them. It was a fun time apart from the normal studies. Generally, cupcakes or other treats were sent by parents to help the children celebrate Valentine’s Day. Did you celebrate Valentine’s Day in school?

Candy Hearts

There are some fascinating facts surrounding the holiday.

  • It originally was not a romantic holiday. That did not come into play until around the 14th century.
  • The 1st Valentine was written from prison.
  • Candy hearts were initially medical lozenges. They were not heart shaped until later.
  • Pink and Red are considered the colors of love.
  • The heart shape wasn’t always about romance. The heart was believed to be the human’s center of memory. A place where feelings of love were registered, preserved.
  • Most men and women prefer to receive candy instead of flowers.
  • The majority of gift giving is done by women. Women tend to give themselves a gift or gifts for Valentine’s Day.
Do All in Love

One of the best ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day is to remember the love of God. Know that it is a time for giving, not just for lovers. It is a time for everyone to show those we love how much we love and appreciate them. It is a time to show our friends how much we they are valued.

Brave-Strong-Smart-Loved

The Bible has several verses throughout the Old and New Testaments that refer to love. One of the most common verses about God’s love is:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

John 3:16 (NIV)

There are other verses that speak of God’s love for us, and some that command us to love one another. The following are a few examples:

“We love because he first loved us.”

I John 4:19

“A friend loveth at all times.”

Proverbs 17:17

“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your Hod with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'”

Matthew 22: 37-39

Valentine’s Day is a day for everyone to celebrate, it does not matter whether you are a part of a couple or are single. Each and every one of us can show our friends and family that we love them, appreciate them, and let them know they are valued. I do not know a single person that wants to be left out. Some might think the holiday is not for them. However, I think they would appreciate hearing from a friend reminding them they are loved.

I want to express my appreciate for each and every one of you. I want you to know God loves you and so do I. God bless! As always please feel free to like, comment, and follow. Have a blessed day. Happy Valentine’s Day!
