August 2025

This morning a flatbed tractor trailer came to deliver a pallet of wood to the house across the road which is be renovated from the inside out. Coleman with his natural curiosity and helpful nature decided to investigate. When the truck driver was done with his delivery he began to toss straps across the flatbed trailer to tie down the rest of his load. As I stood watching, Coleman thought he needed some assistance and proceeded to cross the street and give his willing assistance in fastening the straps from the other side of the truck hooking them together as the driver instructed. The truck driver was polite and good natured willing to allow Coleman to assist him and show him kindness.

Walking around Riverside Park and Greenway this week along a dirt trail Coleman and I came across this small tree with a few Green Sprouts popping amongst a sand-filled area near the South Fork Catawba River. Its location seemed an oddity, life beginning anew.

2025 One-to-Three Weekend Sky January Week 3

I wish I had a telescope 🔭 and could take pictures through it. This week the evening sky is delightful. Several planets are visible and a rare planetary parade is coming to the skies on the 21st. That’s why I wish I had a telescope, six planets (maybe seven) will be visible including Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus.

Enough of my wishes and here’s to show you what I could see just through my iPhone tonight.

According to Google Lens Search what I captured is the Constellation Orion.

Now to show you what stylized creation Google Photos Al created of my evening sky.

Before you ask, I will tell you that I really do not comprehend how Al arrived at this interpretation of my evening sky. Your guess would be as good as mine.
