One, Two,
Buckle My Shoe …
Nineteen, twenty,
MyPlate’s Empty.
Dan from no facilities has chosen a them of Nursery Rhyme for this week’s CFFC Challenge. There are many variation, but that’s not too important. Look at the rhyme as written and use any or all of the bold words as prompts. If the words are numbers, use them the way you used them earlier. Otherwise, use the words themselves. This should give you lots of opportunities to choose a photo. New or archive photos are acceptable.
- One, two, buckle my shoe;
- Three, four, knock(er) at the (Thursday) door;
- Five, six, pick up sticks;
- Seven, eight, lay them straight;
- Nine, ten, a big fat hen;
- Eleven, twelve, dig and delve;
- Thirteen, fourteen, maids a-courting;
- Fifteen, sixteen, maids in the kitchen;
- Seventeen, eighteen, maids in waiting;
- Nineteen, twenty, my plate‘s empty.

These are lovely photos. You managed the prompt quite well. I love the photos of (is it Coleman) with the hiking stick.

Thank you Dan! Yes, that’s Coleman with the hiking stick. He’s been hiking with me since he was 1 1/2 yrs old if not before. He loves to hike and would rather be outside amongst the trees, rivers, lakes, and practically anywhere outdoors than indoors any day.

That’s great. He sounds like our daughter. She’s an adult, but hikes every time she can

Our weather was beautiful this afternoon, so we walked to our local Greenway for him to enjoy some outdoor fun time.

I almost got the whole rhyme. Only missed thirteen/fourteen & seventeen/eighteen of the rhyme. My granddaughter, Alona’s in the kitchen.

I never knew those verses existed.

That’s cause most of the time we only hear up to nine/ten.
