Rhus glabra, (AKA white sumac, upland sumac, or scarlet sumac) is a species of sumac in the family Anacardiaceae, native to North America.Native Americans ate the young sprouts as a salad. The fruit is sour and contains a large seed, but can be chewed (to alleviate thirst) and made into a lemonade-like drink.
On this day Coleman and I hiked from Avon Catawba Creeks Greenway to the Warlick Family YMCA approximately a 2.5 mile hike. Coleman enjoys hiking with me, he also loves to test out the fitness equipment and Pull Up a Seat wherever he chooses. It is good to sit and rest occasionally along the trail.

Welcome Cee and thanks for taking on the Which Way Challenge. I appreciate you and am looking forward to all you have to bring to challenge us on our Which Way Challenge adventures.
I’ve held off posting a which way challenge knowing you were taking over. Most of my “roads” are trails Coleman and I hike. I hope you’ll enjoy comingalong on our Which Way hiking adventures.
I know only the first photo has an actual road in it, however, Coleman and I mostly travel on dirt pathways. We walk most everywhere, sometimes riding the bus to get to a location where we plan to hike. Hopefully next time I’ll be able to be more in tune with the theme.

Coreopsis lanceolata is a North Americanspecies of tickseed in the family Asteraceae. It is native to the Eastern and Central parts of the United States, naturalized in Canada, the Western United States, Mesoamerica, South America, South Africa and Eastern Australia. It is found in open woodlands, prairies, plains, glades, meadows and savannas.
Rudbeckia hirta is a short-lived perennial that should be treated as an annual. It may likely endure few winters, but will often self-seed prolifically. The flowers are showier than other Rudbeckia species and have been widely hybridized. (Clemson.edu)
The Snowberry Clearwing (Hemaris deffinis) is a moth of the order Lepidoptera, family Sphingidae. It mimics a bumblebee in appearance. It is sometimes called a “Hummingbird Moth” due to its ability to dark quickly from flower to flower, and its ability to hover over nectar sources.
The Snowberry Clearwing is hovering from flower to flower, which are called Phlox Carolina ‘Gypsy Love’. The Phlox carolina ‘Gypsy Love’ have narrow, pointed foliage and pink flowers in early summer. The Carolina Phlox are native to the southeastern United States. They are an herbaceous perennial boasting broadly cylindrical clusters of lavender to pink or white flowers over a long season.

This is a hard one to decide which photos to choose, there are so many which hold precious memories and special moments that money could never buy. How to decide, that is the question?

These represent happy memories in the beginning. The last photo was taken at my eldest son’s high school graduation & it was the last time we were together as a family. Everything changed from that point on, but I still loved him.

These were taken in February of 2020 when I went on a Royal Caribbean Cruise to Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico. I went with my sister-in-law’s sister, Monica, however, she tended to stay in the cabin more than wandering around. I chose to make the most of the tripenjoy myself, which I did. I had a fabulous time on and off the cruise ship.

Interesting perspective for the Cosmic Photo Challenge this week, our perspective scenes from ground level. Hope y’all enjoy my snipe finds from a pups & child’s viewpoint.
The Chiweenie is a mixed breed dog; a cross between a chihuahua and a dachshund. These types of dogs are compact, energetic and loyal. My eldest son has had Dinah since she was a puppy approximately around 2012.
Chiweenie’s go by several other names, some of which include Choxie, Weeniehuahua, the German Taco, and the Mexican Hot Dog. These other names I had never heard previously referred to the mixture. They make excellent apartment dog, however, they are better suited for small or single-person households. They are an affectionate and friendly breed. It is said that this breed can be rather happy, but I have not ever experienced that trait with Dinah.

Coleman’s choices for Pulling Up a Seat in August differentiated from various Playground equipment to Picnic Table and Lounge chairs and even to Sand and Rocks. I never know where he’ll select to Pull Up a Seat. Where will you Pull Up a Seat this week?

The Riverbanks Zoo and Garden is a 170-acre zoo, aquarium, and botanical garden located along the Saluda River in Columbia, South Carolina, United States. Riverbanks is home to more than 3,000 animals that represent over 400 species around the world.
The Zoo first opened its gates to the public on April 25, 1974. It has continued to be a popular destination to connect and learn about wildlife life for individuals, families, and groups. It is considered one of the largest mid-sized zoos in the United States. It draws an estimated one million visitors annually.
