“Her Eyes Carry a Heavy, Quiet Confusion Forced Into Arms She Does Not Know, Only to Return With a Gaze That Begs For Reassurance That Her Safe World Still Exists.”
It was June, and the world smelled of roses. The sunshine was like powdered gold over the grassy hillside. ~Maud Hart Lovelace, Betsy-Tacy and Tib, 1941
We all need to feel loved, but our greater need is to live peaceably with ourselves, our community, and the world.
“When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others.”
— Peace Pilgrim
Strive for Peace. Peace Within Oneself and with Others.
“Today I choose to live with gratitude for the LOVE that fills my heart, the PEACE that rests within my spirit, and the voice of HOPE that says…. all things ave possible.”
I am remembering a time when “What the World Needs Now Is Love” written by Hal David and composed by BurtBacharach back in 1965 during a controversial time period when the Vietnam War and many Americans didn’t agree with it.
Right now with all the turmoil and dissatisfaction, I believe What the World Needs Now is Peace.
God Bless. May your life be filled with love and peace. Thank you for visiting and sharing your time and thoughts with us. I appreciate y’all very much.
