Pull up a Seat Photo Challenge 2024-Week 45
God Bless. Thank you for sharing your time and thoughts with me. I appreciate y’all very much.
For the past two weeks (since Thanksgiving) I haven’t been able to get out and capture any scenery around me. Coleman and I have been sick with a bacterial infection consisting of chest congestion and a really bad cough. Over the counter medicine was not working for him so we finally took him to the doctor who prescribed an antibiotic. Hopefully all will be better soon.
We’ve been having issues in our townhome with pests and so today we bombed our place. (The pest controls the complex uses does not work!) So, we took it upon ourselves to try to remedy the problem. With bombing the place, we needed to get out of the place for a few hours, therefore we decided to go for a drive.
Driving around down in the Clover area, I noticed this table and seating outside the Clover Post Office and located near the drop off area. I have never seen seating outside of a post office before. My daughter obliged me to stop the vehicle a moment so I could snap a photo of the unusual (to me anyway) seating at the post office.

When Coleman and I were near completion of our hike his mom met us along the trail. The first picture is of Coleman Pulling Up a Seat near his mom in front of the horse stables. The next two pictures of him choosing to Pull Up a Seat along the Dogwood Trail which we were hiking. For Coleman it does not better whether or not he has a chair, a log, or just decides to Pull Up a Seat upon the ground. He will Pull Up a Seat whenever and wherever he pleases.

Pull Up a Seat:
Coleman’s choices for Pulling Up a Seat in August differentiated from various Playground equipment to Picnic Table and Lounge chairs and even to Sand and Rocks. I never know where he’ll select to Pull Up a Seat. Where will you Pull Up a Seat this week?

My any kind of seating involves any seating that Coleman deems acceptable for a place for him to sit. His choices of seating are not always what I would choose, but hey, if he’s happy with his choice of seating who am I to say it’s not his kind of seating.

Blue benches like this one are located all around the park and trails at Goat Island Park and Greenway. Punched into it is Cramerton, NC.

This post was taller than any of us are, so it took two of us to help her up onto the post.

Coleman demonstrating his many expressions while perched on the same post his half-sister was on above.
These were taken with my Canon EOS Rebel T3i on Saturday, February 18th when we visited Goat Island Park and Greenway. The Goat Island Park and Greenway is located in Cramerton, North Carolina just a few miles from where we recently moved (a week ago). The Park and Greenway have many different features for people of all ages and abilities. It has two separate playgrounds: one for children 1-4 years old and another one for children 5-12 years old. It has two pedestrian bridges which cross over the South Fork River, a fishing pier, river access, 1/2 mile of asphalt walking trail, and an Adult Fitness Pavillion. In addition to these features, it also has Large and Small Picnic Shelters, three permanent cornhole courts, two permanent ping pong tables, and an 18-hole Disc Golf Course. For the cornhole, ping pong, and Disc Golf one3 must bring their own equipment in order to play.

To Coleman, it does not matter what it is; if it looks like somewhere to sit he will sit. He will Pull Up a Seat anywhere, anytime he chooses to do so.

My selections this time come from the trails around Wagon and Haigler Loops as well as by the Canteen at Anne Springs Close Greenway.
Pull Up a Seat Along Wagon Loop:

Pull Up a Seat beside Lake Haigler:

Bruce T. Rush Pavilion:

The Bruce T. Rush Pavilion is located at the Lake Haigler Entrance of the Anne Springs Close Greenway. It is an open-air shelter, available for rental, which features a hardwood ceiling with a stone fireplace. It overlooks the beautiful Lake Haigler. It is an ideal area for company picnics, birthday parties, receptions, and small intimate wedding ceremonies.

On Saturday, I had the opportunity to borrow my daughter’s car. So, Coleman and I took a drive to the Fort Mill Dam and then to Catawba Park. We walked around and enjoyed the scenery.

Coleman does more running around in the playground area, it is hard to keep up with him. I do not run.

A PHOTO CHALLENGE OF PLACES WE SIT…OR MIGHT SIT…OR ART ABOUT SITTING, Pull Up A Seat, is hosted by XingfuMama. My entries for Week 37:

It doesn’t matter if it is a bench, a sign, a tree, or a wooden board; if my grandson, Coleman, wants to pull up a seat he’ll sit wherever he chooses.
God bless. Thank you! I appreciate y’all.
