The day we visited Ramsey Creek Park may have been on the chillier side, but that wouldn’t have stopped Coleman from playing in the sand.
One of several signs near the Beach.
The Beach area was blocked off with signs posted stating the Beach is Closed. We did find smaller areas he could access the sand for a little playtime. We also managed to walk along the edge of the waters of Lake Norman, still it would have been nice if the Beach would’ve been open.

Terri, host of Sunday Stills has challenged us to show our #Leaf colours. In our area are #Leaves have slowing been displaying their Autumnal colour schemes. Sunday we had a beautiful Sun Shiny day with a high in the low 70’s°, unlike the past couple of days with highs only in the upper 40’s° and freeze warnings.
With a rare warm sunny day Coleman and I meandered down to Goat Island Park and Greenway for a hike along the River Link Greenway to check out the amazingly gorgeous Autumn colours vibrantly painted throughout the trail.
Here are a selection of images from our hike #Leaf Peeping through the Greenway …
Hope y’all enjoy the video clip of our #Leaf Peeping through the Greenway.

I had plenty of time to look and Skywatch (Weekend Sky) on Friday afternoon waiting and waiting and waiting on the school tbus to bring Coleman back from school. I walked to the bus stop, arrived in plenty of time before the bus was supposed to arrive, but alas I had to wait what seemed like forever before it finally arrived.
I was traffic going up the hill and down the hill and no bus came from either direction for a long, long time. I watched the clouds up above in the sky, then watched a lone black bird soaring overhead. It soared back and forth and to and fro giving a very entertaining show for me while I stood, and stood, and stood some more. Is it a Coragypsatratus (Black Turkey Vulture) or a Ictinaetus malaiensis (Black Eagle)? I’ll let y’all decide and give me your feedback.
Black Eagle or Black Vulture?

I know that the image may not be the best to determine the species. I only had my smartphone with me at the bus stop. Google Lens gives both as suggestions. Go figure.
Now how about looking at some zooming on “land” instead of in the “air.”
Amtrak Passenger Train
You may see the Sky contrast from the early morning Sky above the Amtrak to the afternoon Sky. All images taken from the bus stop up the street from our home.
Early every morning when Coleman and I walk to the bus stop we look up in wonder at the Morning Sky.
Most mornings lately we have had cloudy skies; some white clouds and some dark thunderous clouds, but today not so.
Today, the skies were clear with “stars” shining brightly. What I did not realize until after Coleman was on the bus and I was back home was that the brightest “Stars” we were seeing were not actually “Star” at all.
What we really saw in the early morning skies were the planets Venus, Jupiter and more dazzling images.

My Sky photos this week are actually from Tuesday evening. We had some colourful clouds prior to the moon rising.
I tried staying awake until the moon was at full illumination on Wednesday morning around 3:44am EST, but failed miserably. The shots of the moon I did manage to capture were taken at 9:26pm on Tuesday evening. I was hoping to catch June’s full strawberry moon when it would be its brightest. This was the best I could do however, since I was unable to be awake at such an early hour .

God Bless. Sky watching can be dramatic, amazing to watch the Sun Rise in the mornings. Thank you for visiting and sharing your time and thoughts with us. I appreciate y’all very much.
Fluffy cotton-like cloudscapes scattered our late afternoon/early evening skies. I’m not sure which type of clouds these are. Hammad, how are you on deciphering cloud formation types? Are they Altocumulus or possibly cirrocumulus stratiformis?
The cloudscape makes an interesting view flowing across the skies above us. What do y’all think?

This week our weather has been fickle, sorta topsy-turvy not knowing whether it wants to be warm or freezing or somewhere in between. It has been flip-flopping back and forth from one day to the next. I wish it’d just decide to be warm and stay that way. I’m tired of the freezing cold brisk winds and rainy days we’ve been experiencing.
Below demonstrates how our weather can be fickle in just a short time frame (one day).
Taken at 6:32am
Taken at 2:30pm
Taken at 3:11pm
It flip-flopped from rainy to warm & cloudy back to dark rain clouds with more rain on the way. It makes it hard to know when it’s warm enough for Coleman to play outside. On this day outside playing didn’t last long with the tempting rain clouds bearing down upon us.

A look at our morning skies prior to the Sun’s rising. Coleman has to get on the school bus when it is still dark outside. While we wait for the bus, we often observe the sky. Thus we are able to see some interesting and amazing Skyscapes.
These were taken approximately around 6:30-6:40 am for the past three mornings. Quite an interesting array of the “painted” skies in our neighbourhood.
