It’s been cold and rainy all week. On Wednesday, Coleman and I decided to try to beat the rain and ventured out to visit Forest at Anne Springs Close Greenway Horse Stables. It was sure cold 🥶 though. However, Coleman enjoyed his time visiting the horses. [Those pictures are saved for another post].
We spotted these Violet and White Flowers by the Gibson House on the way back to the car whilst trying not to get the camera wet. So naturally I had to capture them with a few snapshots. After all I did have my camera around my neck.

The area cats tended to give birth under our home. They would sun themselves on the porch, on our car, and sometimes on our roof. They came and went as they pleased. They would watch you watching them, but never allow you to get too close.

Haven’t traveled too far since Covid-19 lockdown, however, in early 2020 I visited relatives in Texas. While there I would walk around the neighborhood or wherever the opportunity arose.
I spotted these lovely flowers while walking around my Aunt’s neighborhood in Abilene, Texas. It was taken with the cell phone I had at the time, an iPhone 11 Pro Max.

This photo goes way back to before I was even imagined. I’m not sure who took the photo, however, it is a picture I inherited.
This is a photo of my mom back probably in the mid to late 1940’s, before she graduated from high school. It was taken in San Diego, California.
It is a piece of nostalgia, a small piece of my mom’s past. A way to know about her life especially since she never talked about her childhood or any portion before the life I knew with my family.

This week I am combining my Monday Windows with Thursday Doors. These were captured last week when my grandson, Coleman and I went walking along the Baxter Village Trailhead and part of the Baxter Village Neighborhood. Some of the doors were decorated for Autumn and others were decorated for Christmas already.

As I walked around my complex today I noticed these discarded flowers sitting out back of one of the apartments. I wondered why someone would just place them out their back door and not throw them away if they didn’t want them any more. It appeared as if there wasn’t much life to them anymore.
