Looking back to 25 April 2020, remembering the drive back from Texas and the beautiful landscaping seen at travel or rest stops. The views were a reminder of the beauty that can be seen throughout the United States. The beauty was also an encouragement to thank God for his comfort, strength, and safety. No matter where I am or where I go God will always be there with me, seeing me through every step of my journey.
God Bless. Thank God for the beauty He has created. I’m thankful for his strength, comfort, and the safety He provides me. I am thankful for all of you. Remember I appreciate y’all.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. It is one of the many verses I memorized as a teenager as a part of my church youth group. My youth pastor always encouraged us to memorize scripture. In fact, he believed in scripture memorization so much, he made it a requirement to attend church camp or any week long youth group activity. We had to recite the assigned memorization scripture before boarding the church bus.
Memorization may seem like an odd requirement to attend a church youth group outing, but it was one aspect that has remained with me for life. I can still recall quite a number of the scripture verses I memorized way back in my youth. I thank God for a youth pastor who always demonstrated his faith and showed everyone he met God’s love and how to walk a godly lifestyle.
Thank you PJ for being a fine example of God’s love and faithfulness. PJ is at home with God the Father, but his faith and example lives on through the many youth and people he ministered to while here.
God bless. What are your favorite Bible verses? I’d love for you to share them. Thank you! Remember I appreciate y’all.

It is World Penguin 🐧 Day. I didn’t even know there was a day to celebrate Penguins. Did you? Think you know all there is to know about Penguins? Maybe, or maybe not. There are many interesting facts about penguins that I did not know about before. Let’s learn more about them together.

Did you know there are around 17 or 18, possibly more, different species of Penguins? I sure did not know there were that many different types. All Penguins live in the Southern Hemisphere. Although, some Galápagos penguins tend to straddle the equator occasionally. Penguins inhabit extremely cold regions, like the Antarctic. The penguins of the Antarctic are probably the ones you think of when you hear penguins. However, not all penguins live in the Antarctic. Many live in temperate regions, like In Melbourne, Australia. [ I never considered penguins living in Australia before, new fact for me, perhaps you as well]. The penguins which live in Australia are known as Fairy penguins or little penguins. These are the smallest species of penguins.

Penguins have feathers 🪶, not fur. Their feathers provide excellent insulation which enable them to survive in extremely cold environments. One other factor about the feathers is their ability to repel ice.
Penguins do not have teeth. It is interesting, though, that they do have spines inside their beaks which can look 👀 a little teeth-like. They also have spines on their tongues. All their spines point backwards. [Learn something new every day]. Penguins eat a variety of fish and crustaceans. The larger the penguin, the deeper they dive for food. Their food is swallowed whole and later regurgitated for their young chicks.
Penguins are monogamous, but only for a season. The next season they may stick with their mate or choose a new one. They have the ability to drink salt water. [yuck, I can’t stand salt].

The Penguin populations are declining. What can we, as humans, do to help them? Most of the ways involve keeping the animal’s home and breeding grounds—the ocean —clean and healthy. The following are other ways you can help:

God Bless. Happy World Penguin Day! Do your part to help preserve the Penguin populations. Thank you! Remember I appreciate y’all.

Labyrinth; what is it? What is its purpose? A labyrinth is a complicated irregular network of passages in which it is difficult to find one’s way; a maze.
Is there a difference between maze and labyrinth? In a way, there is not much of a difference. Both refer to a series of networks of passages or channels which can be complicated and confusing in nature. The two words do have different origins though.
Maze is thought to have come from an Old English word ( not recorded) masian which means “ to confuse.” Whereas, labyrinth has its origins back to Ancient Greek legends. The legends indicate that King Minos instructed an inventor named Daedalus to create a labyrinth beneath his palace which housed a fearsome monster, the Minotaur.
Don’t worry, has been said that the monster Minotaur was slain by a Greek hero named Theseus. Afterwards, Theseus managed to find his way out of the labyrinth by using the assistance of a ball of thread which was given to him by Ariadne, the daughter of Minos.

Labyrinths can be in many ancient cultures, however, it is most commonly associated with Ancient Greece. The symbol, and its many variations, date back over 4,000 years. Labyrinths symbolizes many different things some of which are as follows:

This particular Labyrinth is located on the property of First Central Presbyterian Church PC (USA) in Abilene, Texas. It is partially funded by Synod of the Sun PC (USA). It was designed as a place to:

[John the Baptist] said: “ I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness: Make straight the way of the Lord,’ as the prophet Isaiah said.”
John 1:23
Who am I ? John the Baptist did not hesitate in answering this question. He knew exactly who he was, he was not confused. He stated: “I am the voice.” He did not stutter, he did not have to think about it. He immediately knew and answered: “ I am the voice.”
Can you answered the question: Who are you? Who am I? Without hesitating, without a doubt, without confusion? I am not sure that I can answer: Who am I? without hesitation. Sometimes, I do not think I know myself who I am. Who am I in relation to God? I know in my heart I am a child of God, a daughter of the most high.

“The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”
Isaiah 40:3
What does it mean to prepare the way of the Lord? How do we go about preparing ourselves for the Lord? To prepare the way of the Lord is to prepare the way of holiness. We need to prepare our hearts for the coming Jesus Christ. We prepare the way of Jesus Christ the same way John the Baptist did centuries ago. By doing the following:
We should be encouraging, Informing, and inspiring others and ourselves to build up our faith and connect or reconnect with God. Let us use our energy to demonstrate God’s love to others, create peace, make a positive impact on those around us.

“The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.”
Luke 3:4
God felt it important for us to prepare the way. He emphasized it by repeating several times throughout the Bible that we should prepare the way of the Lord and make his paths straight. When something is repeated over and over, it means we should pay attention and do what it is telling us to do.
Making his path straight is to clear all obstacles out of the way. We need to seek to live our lives for the glory of God, above anything else.
“ Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on you own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5,6
When we trust in Jesus and let him guide us through our journey of life we will be following the path He has prepared for us. We should not hesitate to let others know about our Lord and Savior. We should not need to hesitate in letting others know we are children of God ( I am a child of God, the most high King).
God Bless. Do you know who you are? Let others know. Prepare the way of the Lord. Trust God in all things. Thank you! Remember I appreciate y’all.
I visited Texas in early 2020 near the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. One portion of my Texas trip was to visit my elderly aunt who resides in Abilene. No matter where I am at, I try to walk at least two times or more a week. My aunt isn’t able to walk very far as she uses a walker to maintain her balance as she walks. Therefore, I would go walking about the neighborhood on my own discovering what sights and interests I could find.

Visit Duration: 2 months March and April 2020
God Bless. Hope you enjoyed my short tour of public art sculptures throughout the city of Abilene. The sculptures were all within a couple of miles from the corner of Palm Street and South Seventh Street.
Thank you for visiting. Remember I appreciate y’all. Till next time, take care.

What is Earth day? Why do we celebrate it? Earth 🌎 day is celebrated around the world in approximately 190 + countries. April 22 marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. Earth 🌎 day is held annually to demonstrate support for environmental protection.

The idea for Earth day was originally conceived in 1969 at a UNESCO Conference in San Francisco, California. It was then that John McConnell, a peace activist, proposed a day for honoring the Earth 🌎 and the concept of peace. It was originally scheduled to be observed on March 21, 1970, the first day of spring in the northern hemisphere.

On Earth 🌎 Day in April 1970, Americans gathered together to raise awareness of pollution and the effects of pollution. It brings attention to the importance of long-term ecological sustainability. While we in America celebrate Earth 🌎 Day on April 22, parts of the rest of the world celebrate it on the day that the vernal equinox occurs.

It is our responsibility to take care of our planet, Earth. It is our responsibility to handover Mother Earth in a Healthier Shape to our Future Generations. Let us all work to Make it a Better place.
One way we can help to make it a better place is to use sustainable practices in our daily lives. The paper and packaging industry has been taking amazing strides to support a healthy future by using sustainable practices and products.

We can do our part in protecting the planet by using paper products. You ask, how does using paper protect and make our planet healthier? Good question. The paper, packaging, and boxes we use every day are designed to be easily recycled over and over again. Did you know that paper is the most recycled material in the United States? I didn’t realize that, one can learn something new everyday. Paper comes from trees 🌲 which are a natural and renewable resource. By choosing paper products, you encourage U. S. Forestry owners to grow and maintain healthy forests.

“ WE DO NOT INHERIT
~ Native American Proverb
THE EARTH
FROM OUR ANCESTORS,
WE BORROW IT FROM OUR
CHILDREN.”
This years Earth Day theme is “ Invest In Our Planet.” It is meant to encourage businesses, government, and people everywhere to act on climate change and other issues to develop and maintain a healthy sustainable future. Please let’s all do our part to help our planet to be more sustainable and Healthy. Use paper, recycle, and reuse ♻️.
God bless. Protect our Earth 🌎. Be Proactive. Reflect on our actions, make improvements to help our planet to be healthy for future generations.

Failure is lacking the success or the inability to achieve a determined expectation. Is failure good or bad? Is failure beneficial? Can we learn from our failures?
Failure is beneficial and an essential aspect of our self-development. Albert Einstein stated, “ Failure is success in progress”. How is failure beneficial?
When you know and accept failure as a possibility, you learn to not let fear of failure hold you back. You accept that failure is apart of trying. Sometimes you fail, other times you succeed. However, if you never try you won’t have the opportunity for failure or success. Therefore, you always need to push yourself to keep trying.
The following are some of the many failure of failure:

Realize you cannot please everyone, if you try you will surely fail. Believe that failure is not fatal; it takes courage to continue. Never give up. Success is not impossible. It comes from the struggles, the defeats, the learning, the progress and through the courage to keep keeping on. Believe in yourself.

God bless. May you be blessed in disguise. Keep keeping on. Be creative. Be courageous. Keep learning. Never give up. Always continue to try.

What does it mean “sought the LORD?” Sought means to attempt or have a desire to obtain or achieve something. Sought is the past tense of seek. What do you seek or have sought in the past? Perhaps you seek a better job, a better life, or perhaps you have sought someone to love. Regardless, if you have or have not, we all seek something out of this life we are living. We may seek different things, but we may all be passionate about seeking out of dreams, our purpose in life.
“Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the LORD your God. Begin to build the sanctuary of the LORD God , so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD and the sacred articles belonging to God into the temple that will be built for the Name of the LORD.”
1 Chronicles 22:19 (NIV)
“Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.”
Psalm 9:10 (NIV)
God instructs us to seek him. There are many many verses in the Word of God which speak regarding seeking the LORD, however, we are given a choice whether we desire to seek Him or not. As for me, I choose to seek the LORD. When I was younger I was more passionate about seeking the LORD. When one gets busy with life, sometimes, you let slide the things which are truly important. When you get older, as I am, you reignite your passions for the important things in life. One of those important things for me is to be passionate about seeking the LORD daily. To trust Him with my life, to guide me, to comfort and strengthen me.

God bless. As for me, I will seek the LORD continually. Have a great day. Thanks for visiting. Remember I appreciate y’all.
Another day when Coleman swipes my phone. Opens the camera app. Snaps multiple pictures while saying “Cheese.”

Not made pictures for a two year old. Gotta love ❤️ my grandson. He’s definitely not camera shy.

God Bless. Enjoy life. Thankful for family. I appreciate y’all. Feel free to like, comment, and follow. Thank you!

Today was kind of dreary. It started out with a downpour of rain 🌧. Only in the low 40°’s in the morning. Coleman always loves to go outside, but since it was chilly, wet, and a little windy I managed to have him wait until the afternoon to go for a walk.

Kept the Monday Meanderings to a minimum today. It was still cool and a little windy in the afternoon, however, the rain 🌧 let up for our walk.
Hope y’all had a blessed Easter Sunday. I appreciate y’all. Encourage you to spend time outdoors. Thank God for his many blessings.

This month nowathome.Wordpress.com shared a challenge hosted by Clare from Clare’s Cosmos to share your desktop photo, called Share your Desktop. Mine is from Ocean Conservancy. Ocean Conservancy is an organization that supports clean beaches and a healthy ocean. It works to protect our oceans from this present ages vast challenges. They create science-based solutions for a healthy ocean as well as the wildlife and communities that depend on it.
Why do I support them? I believe in helping to provide safe, clean environments for people everywhere to enjoy. Too much plastic and trash land in our gulfs, and oceans. Both trash and plastics are harmful to sea life. Let’s all do what we can to protect our oceans.
God Bless. Protect our Environment. Protect our Oceans 🌊. Thank you!

The expression Eyes are Windows to the Soul conveys the idea that one can understand a person’s emotions and possibly thoughts when you look into his or her eyes. Do you think this idea is realistic, true?

Through the eyes our hearts can be known to others. They tell others what we cannot say with words. Our eyes channel our feelings, those feelings range from trust to distrust, security, contentment, and fear. They are the sincerest part of our face and we do not have control over what our eyes reveal to others. Our eyes can convey whether we are sad or happy, whether we are paying attention or not, or if we are angry or if we are uncertain amount anything. We might try to hide or not admit to how we feel but our eyes always reveal the truth. The best way to get to know someone is to look them in the eyes and notice what they divulge about their emotional state.

The Bible tells us in Hebrews 12:2, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross …. “
As we look back upon history, we know this week is a week of remembrance for what Jesus Christ did for us by dying on the cross. He took the sins of the world upon himself, and willingly gave his life so that we might life eternally with him one day. That day seemed very sad to his mom, his brothers, his disciples, because they did not realize the grave could not hold him. Alleluia, Jesus Christ rose from the grave, he restored our life. He lives!
“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made Heaven and Earth.”
Psalm 121:1-2 KJV
“Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.”
Proverbs 3:7-8 NIV
These verses indicate our eyes should be focused on God and not on ourselves. Wisdom comes not from our own eyes, but from the Lord. Our help, our comfort, our strength comes from the LORD and if we do not keep our eyes on Him, we may make incorrect decisions that may be detrimental to our well-being. Our eyes give us the ability to understand the Good News about God’s glory. He is the light and when we look up to Him, He sees what is in our hearts and souls.
I pray that my eyes and yours might enlighten our hearts to know the hope that is freely given by Jesus Christ. I pray that you might know and understand God’s richness, His mercy, comfort and strength. I pray you may know how much he loves you and me.

Coleman wearing Green outfit standing amongst Green plants.

Green Flag shirt: The Green is used for Mental Health Awareness. It is a symbol for mental illnesses, bipolar disorder, and depression. Green symbolizes the continual awareness of mental health in order to help fight the stigma that is too often associated with it.
Green trees 🌲 and green grass meadows in nature. The color green is the color of nature, growth, freshness, energy, and fertility.

Spiritually green carries the vibration of growth, new beginnings, health, renewal, harmony, hope, and peace.

Psychologically green evokes reactions which affect our moods and emotions. Green is also described as refreshing and tranquil. The color green can positively affect our thinking 🤔, our relationships, and our physical health. It is also believed to relieve stress and help us heal.
Although the color green can represent many things, I prefer to look 👀 on the positive aspects of the color green. One of my favorites is that it brings awareness to mental health issues. Mental health is a real concern and it’s issues among people around the world seems to have increased with the various circumstances that surrounds Covid-19 and its sub variants.
Mental health issues are not always visible so beware of your words and actions. Unkind words or actions might have extreme affects on someone else. Always be kind and loving, be calm and peaceful. Show God’s love ❤️ to all those around you.
” But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever.”
Psalm 52:8

“Be still, and know ( recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.”
Psalm 46:10 (Amplified Bible)
Reflections can be defined as the throwing back by a body or surface of light, heat, or sound without absorbing it. It can also be a serious thought or consideration. It is looking back and taking notice of how one feels about how his/her live has been and how he/she has grown over a period of time.

Do you take time to reflect on your life? How it’s been, how it’s going? Do you have a specific place or time you prefer to reflect on your life? I love to go to the lake and look out over the reflection of the sun upon the waters. I reflect on what God has done for me and look to him for guidance for the future. That is where I can lean back, be still, and know that God exists and He is amazing.

Why is it good to take time out and reflect? Reflecting helps you develop skills and review their effectiveness. Instead of just carrying on the same old way as always, you can reflect on what ways worked and what things you can improve on. Sometimes the old ways are fine and sometimes there are better ways to do things. If you do not take the time out for reflection, you might never realize change might be best for some areas in your life.

Reflecting is about questioning, positively, on what you do and why you do it. Afterwards, deciding whether there is a better, or more efficient, way of doing it in the future. Then you’ll need to decide if you want the change or not.

When you reflect upon your life do you reflect about God? In the quiet of the evening is when I reflect upon the scriptures. It is one of the ways I reflect on who God is and what he had done for me. Reflection on God’s Word involves more than merely reading it. It involves contemplating and pondering on the scriptures. Reflecting with understanding on what God is speaking to me. It is in reflection that I can comprehend the holiness of God, how faithful and loving He is to me, and how just and merciful He is with me.

Reflection can occur anytime and anywhere. Most often done in the quiet peaceful times of your day. For some that might be early in the morning, for others ( like me) in the late evenings. Sometimes one would reflect upon life or nature in the midst of the afternoon.

Nature is the reflection of God; it reveals the beauty of God’s creation and the revelation that God is in the world around us. What attributes of God can we see in nature? The following is just seven (7) of the many characteristics of God that are reflected in nature.

“And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV
“Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves, Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the Word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it – he will be blessed in what he does.”
James 1:22-25 NIV
When we focus on God and others instead of ourselves, we bring joy and happiness not only to others but to ourselves as well. When we reflect upon our lives, we should reflect on how much time we spend thinking and doing for ourselves and for others. We should put others first after God. When we put God first, He brings us peace, love, and happiness.
God Bless. Take time in your day to reflect on God’s Word, reflect on what you can do for others and reflect on how to become a more like Christ.
Thank you for visiting. I appreciate y’all. Please feel free to like, comment, and follow.

Why should we/I trust the LORD? Can I not trust myself? In reality, I don’t think I can fully trust myself to make wise decisions. Trusting God with my life takes faith.
Faith is having complete unequivocal trust or confidence in someone or something. I know when I have not relied on God to help me in my decision making, I have made some choices which I might not have made if I had trusted Him with my life.

We are to trust with our whole heart ❤️. Not with part of our heart ❤️, but all of heart. Trust needs to be done with complete confidence, not lacking Faith. Believe God will take care of you/me. God keeps His promises. He has promised to guide us, strengthen us, direct our paths, and always be there for us regardless of our needs or circumstances.

My thoughts are not God’s thoughts. My mind is finite with limited understanding. I cannot fully comprehend everything about God or His power. Reading the Bible can give me insight into who God is and His characteristics, but to truly understand even a fraction of who God is and what He can do we/I have to have a relationship with Him. Relationships take work. If I don’t communicate with Jesus, how do I expect to hear Him. To trust Him is to know Him, believe in Him.
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death”
Proverbs 14:12
“A man’s mind plans his ways [as he journeys through life], But the Lord directs his steps and establishes them.”
Proverbs 16:9 AMP
I might plan all I want, make decisions, but if I do not include God in the process and trust Him all will be for not. God knows what’s best for my life and even if I can’t see what that is or understand His plan, I know He has my best interest at heart and He will never leave or fail me.
God bless. Trust in God. God loves you! I appreciate y’all. Thanks for visiting and please come again soon.
Moving refers to a change in residence. Moving is moving whether moving next door, across town, or across the country. Moving can be an extremely emotional experience. There is so much that goes through one’s mind when you think about moving. It is one thing if you plan on your own accord to move. In that instance, you plan ahead, know where you’re going and make realistic plans accordingly. However, when you’re told by your landlord your lease is not being renewed and you have thirty days to find a place and move, that brings about a whole different set of emotions.

Moving can be challenging and also frustrating. Frustrating in looking, hunting, searching, trying to locate a place to move. It can be difficult to locate a place to move to when you know way in advance that you’ll be moving, but on short notice it can become very stressful and irritating. It might make you feel like screaming, especially when you’re so frustrated by not finding a place right away knowing you do not have much time.

Tips for solving and overcoming common challenges when moving. Moving can be exciting but also stressful. Your emotions are all over the place. ( I know mine are right now.) How we overcome tour challenges matters tremendously. Let’s take a deep look on what can be done to make a move a little bit less frustrating.

What you need to do to prepare for your move:

Whenever and wherever you plan on moving be sure to use a checklist to ensure you have everything you need and do not leave anything behind. If you don’t use a checklist you might forget something and then you might become agitated and emotionally frustrated with yourself, with your situation, or with those trying to help you with your move.
God Bless. Stay safe. And if you plan on moving, be sure to plan ahead and use checklists. Thank you! I appreciate y’all.

Everything we see, touch, and feel were, are, and always will be created by God. The sky, the sea, the heavens, the depths of the oceans, everything imaginable and even the unimaginable (in our minds) were and are all created by God.
“For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.”
Hebrews 3:4 NIV
“For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
Romans 11:36 NIV

God Bless. God is Good. He created you and me. I’m thankful for all His creation. I’m thankful for you! I appreciate y’all.
Today while I was occupied with mundane housework my grandson, Coleman, confiscated my phone. While the phone was in his possession he opened the camera. Mind you the phone was in the locked position. That did not stop him from taking random pictures including pictures of himself.

Random shots …. I deleted the ones of the floor and his feet.

He loves modeling his new clothes. He’s growing up so fast.

Selfies are not new for Coleman. He constantly swipes my phone. I never no what pics are gonna turn up after I get the phone back from him. Even though I don’t like him taking my phone, I love ❤️ him so much. I would be lost without him.
God bless. Love y’all. Remember I appreciate y’all. Thank you for visiting with me and my grandson.

When were they invented? What age range were they designed for? Have you ever used bunk beds? These are just a few of the tidbits I’ll be sharing with you.

A bit of History behind bunk beds they were invented way back around the 1400-1500. Did you know the bunk bed has been around for centuries? (I don’t know they existed that far back in time.) They we’re made too be able to save space in homes. They have also been used by the military too save space and accommodate more recruits/soldiers in barracks and in ships quarters.

The invention of the bunk bed hasn’t been narrowed down to any particular person. It is believed, by some, that they originated from ancient Egypt. While others tend to believe the origin is possibly Scandinavian.
Besides in homes and use by the military, they’ve been used on Ranches and Farms to provide housing for Ranch and Farm hands.

Bunk beds are two or more beds stacked one on top of the other. Most commonly there are two beds stacked together, although, on occasion you’ll see three beds stacked on top of one another.
Bunk beds are used by children and adults. However, it is not recommended for children under the age of six (6) to sleep on the top bunk. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends bunk beds be used for children between the ages of 6 and 16. They also recommend for toddlers to outgrow their toddler bed before having them sleep on a bottom bunk.
Why do they suggest children under six not to sleep in a top bunk? The main reason for not allowing children younger than six to use the top bunk is a concern for safety. It is felt that younger children might roll off the top bunk while they sleep.
Approximately 36,000 bunk bed related injuries have received emergency treatment. Even though some injuries tend to be mild, there are others that are extremely serious with concussions and fractures. It is stated that half of these injuries occur to children younger than six years of age.
These suggestions are only guidelines. You must use your own judgment on whether your child or children are ready to sleep on bunk beds.

Even though my grandson is younger than six, he is very comfortable climbing ladders and stairs. It wouldn’t matter if we put him to bed in the bottom bunk or not. He would be in the top bunk before morning. While we are comfortable with him sleeping in the top bunk, not everyone would be for their child.

God bless. Take care. Stay safe. Make wise choices. Thank you! I appreciate y’all.
This is Love the Greenway month for the Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Today, I was fortunate enough to be able to spend time at the Greenway with my grandson, Coleman. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, with no rain in sight. It was truly a blessing to get ourselves outdoors to enjoy nature and do a little bit of hiking.

Anne Springs Close Greenway has 2,100 acres to enjoy and explore. It is a natural preserve that offers activities such as hiking, horseback riding, biking, picnics, and much more. They have 36 miles of hiking trails that can be used for hiking, biking, and /or horseback riding.

The Greenway also has a 28-acre lake. Lake Haigler has a fishing dock for those who like to fish. If you wish to fish at the lake, you must possess a South Carolina fishing license. The lake has beautiful views to enjoy, Geese swim freely upon the lake and occasionally come out of the water to greet you. You can observe turtles sunning on logs, or you can rent a kayak for an adventure of your own on the lake.
The top ten things to do at the Greenway for an enjoyable day with friends, family, or by yourself are as follows:
Our afternoon hiking in the Greenway took place at the Lake Haigler Entrance. We started our hike by the canteen and proceeded walking down to Lake Haigler. It was a beautiful sun shiny day. We walked part way around the lake, past the kayaks, and over to the spillway, traversing the Billy Walk and Wagon Loop trails. We took a short jaunt on Muscadine Trail and back to Wagon Loop and Billy Walk. Then we hiked over to the Swinging Bridge where my grandson ran back and forth across the bridge. The swinging didn’t faze him at all this trip. The first time he walked on it he was scared, but that was a year ago.
God Bless. Get outdoors. Stop by the Anne Springs Close Greenway if you get to the Fort Mill, South Carolina area. If you, do you won’t be sorry. You’ll have a fantastic time. Thank You for visiting. I appreciate y’all.

“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you , O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? My tears have been my food day and night, while men say to me all day long, ‘Where is your God?’”
Psalm 42: 1-3 NIV (New International Version)
God is always there waiting for us to come to Him, to desire to be in His presence. He never forces His Will on us, but rather is patient waiting for us to choose to be with Him. The deer come to the pasture to feast because they are hungry. They come to streams of water 💦 to quench their thirst. Just like the deer, we are given a choice whether to hunger and thirst for God. I thirst after the righteousness of God, longing to be like Christ and live as He desires me to live.

God bless. May you be blessed and drink from the living water of Jesus Christ. May your thirst be quenched as you draw nearer to God.
Thank you! Remember I appreciate y’all. I hope you’ll stop by again for a visit. Feel free to like, comment, and follow.

“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”
Proverbs 17:17
Who is a friend? A friend is a person whom one knows and with whom has a bond of mutual affection. A friend is someone who has a strong liking for and trust in another person.

What are characteristics that a good friend should possess?

The qualities of a good friend and true friendship are numerous. The most important qualities for a person to truly be called my friend are: (1) They love and respect you no matter what, (2) They forgive you always without regret, (3) They encourage and build you up, never tear you down, (4) They Listen to you, Cry and Laugh with you, are always there for you, and (5) They pray for you always during the good times and bad.
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
1 Thessalonians 5:11
“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
John 15:12-13

The Bible has plenty to say on the subjects of friends and friendship. We are to be a friend to everyone, show them love, kindness, and respect. We are to pray for them and forgive always. A true friend always encourages and builds you up. They are they for you through thick and thin, the good and the bad.

Jesus Christ is my intercessor, he hears my cries and pleads with God on my behalf. What better friend can I have than Jesus.
https://youtu.be/znWu2HCJ92c What a Friend We have in Jesus song by Alan Jackson.
What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear
And what a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer
Oh, what peace we often forfeit
Oh, what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness
Take it to the Lord in prayer

I don’t get out much since the pandemic began, not sure 🤔 who is safe to be around. My eye sight is not as good as it used to be, therefore I do not drive and go places much. Sometimes I am so lonely I could cry. Maybe it’s of my own making, maybe it’s an inner turmoil, and maybe it’s a feeling of being unloved.
It doesn’t matter what you call it, feelings are real. People, especially family, don’t seem to understand. They are too wrapped up in themselves and their phones to even notice.
I was able to borrow my daughter’s car yesterday, so I went for a drive. I checked my mailbox 📫, mostly junk, but it needed cleared out. Later I went and visited a friend I hadn’t seen in person for two years. It felt good.
My daughter texted and asked if I was okay since I was in the same area for a couple hours. I hadn’t realized I was on a time limit with her car. Who knew? Not me.
I said to her I was visiting a friend. She replied “Huh, a friend????” That was like a slap in my face, as if she didn’t think I had any friends. True most of my friends I only communicate with online nowadays, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have any friends at all. It makes me sad that she thinks I have no one, not a single friend.
After her text, I left my friend’s home and headed back “home”. I say “home” in quotation marks because I get reminded all the time it is not my home. I’ve just been staying there for the past two years taking care of my grandson, but I can’t call it home according to them.
After all that, I arrived back to find out she wasn’t even home. So then I wonder why was she so concerned about his long I was gone. After all she said I could use her car. I think she thought I would only check my mail & come straight back. I guess I surprised her when I didn’t.
Today, I’m sitting all alone in room. She hasn’t checked on me, texted me, or anything. At times like this it seems, to me, I don’t exist to her.
Enough ranting… I know God loves me and cares for me. I’ll be alright.
God bless. Be a friend. Let people know you care about them. Show others love and kindness.
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
Proverbs 1:7 NIV (New International Version)
Fools, what or who are they? A fool is defined as a silly or stupid person; a person who lacks judgment or common sense. It is also referred to as someone who clowns around or someone who is gullible and easily taken advantage of.

Fool or fools is mentioned approximately 360 times throughput the Old and New Testaments in the Bible. Of those 360, the word fool or fools appears 99 times in the Book of Proverbs.
For something to be written about so many times, it is definitely important and we should pay attention.

A biblical definition of fool is said to be a senseless person who disregards God’s Word. This is similar to the dictionaries definition except it also includes the indifference to the Bible.
Are we foolish in how we live? Are we living according to God’s plan? In the Bible, it tells us we should be careful how we live.
“Be very careful, then, how you live —- not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”
Ephesians 5:15-16 NIV
This verse implies that if we are not careful and live as we are instructed in the Word of God we will not make wise choices and possibly succumb to evil ways.

“Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standard of this age, you should become ‘fools’ so that you may become wise.”
1 Corinthians 3:18 NIV
It doesn’t matter how much education we have or how smart we think we are, we can always learn some new. Only God is all wise, only He knows everything. God empowers us to gain knowledge through His Word, and it is wise to submit to His authority. His ways, His plans are always much better than anything we can ever imagine.

Now that we’ve looked at the definition of a fool let’s look at some of the characteristics of a fool.
“The fool says in his heart, ‘ There is no God.’”
Psalm14:1 NIV
“ Fools think their own way is right, but the wise listen to others. “
Proverbs 12:15 NLT ( New Living Translation)
“Those who trust their own insight are foolish, but anyone who walks in wisdom is safe.”
Proverbs 28:26 NLT
Our wisdom should come from God and not of ourselves. Before making any decisions, we should consult God through prayer and the study of His Word. Seeking treasures in heaven is more fulfilling and are for a lifetime and beyond. Earthly treasures, possessions, accomplishments will fade away. You can’t take them with you when you leave this present world. Their joy is only temporary.
Believe God exists, Fear Him and obey His commandments as stated in the Holy Word of God. Seek His guidance and follow His instructions. When in doubt, ask questions. God will answer. Sometimes He uses people to give you His answer, while other times He’ll show you the answers while reading His Word. When we pray, we can talk or ask Him about anything. He’s always willing to listen.

Yesterday was April Fool’s Day and while playing practical jokes/pranks on people may seem fun. Not everyone laughs at them or appreciates them.
Don’t be a fool, seek God first. Wisdom comes from above and not from within.
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given Him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.”
James 1:5,6 KJV ( King James Version)

God bless. Seek council and wisdom from God. Be a blessing to others. Thank you! I appreciate y’all.

The third of the Beatitudes is “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. (Matthew 5:5)” Who are the meek and why they blessed? Someone who is meek is humble, gentle, soft, and quiet. A meek person will be patient and self-controlled. Just because a person is meek, it doesn’t mean they are weak. In actuality, they are very strong. A person who is meek has self-control and are following Christ’s example.

A look at the fourth Beatitude, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. (Matthew 5:6)” What does it mean? At first glance you might think it would refer to the physical aspect of being thirsty for drink and hungry for food. However, this verse is not referring to the literal thirsty and hunger for physical nourishment, but for the spiritual nourishment of righteousness. What is meant by righteousness?
Righteousness is “acting in accord with divine or moral law: free from guilt or sin.”
http://www.Merriam-Webster.com
This tends to mean that a person who hungers and thirsts after righteousness has a strong desire to live a Godly life. A desire to strive to live and act like God would want them to live.
In Matthew 5:7, we find that the merciful receive blessings. It states, “Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.” It refers to someone who shows mercy to others will also themselves receive mercy.

The definition of merciful is someone who is caring, compassionate and gentle with discipline. God bestowed mercy upon us when He gave His only son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for us. Showing mercy to others illustrates a reflection of the heart of God, our Father in Heaven. A person who is merciful is kind and forgiving of others, regardless of how they have been treated.

The sixth Beatitude Says: “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. (Matthew 5:8)” What does the Bible mean, in this passage, regarding the pure in heart? Pure means to be clean, blameless, and free from guilt. Those who are pure are those who are being sanctified by God’s refining.

Being pure in heart entails having a singleness of heart toward God. It is marked by an uncompromising desire to please God in everything we do. It is a reflection of our soul, not just our outward behavior. It also means that a person is totally committed to God, goes all out for Jesus, not wishy-washy but fully fears and loves God with their whole heart. They hold themselves accountable to God and strive to do the things that will bring Glory Him.

Matthew 5:9 (NKJV)declares, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” Who are the peacemakers? Are they just police officers, our armed forces? Peacemakers can be ordinary people like you and me.
Peacemakers are the ones blessed in the seventh Beatitude in Matthew chapter 5. What is peacemaking? What are the characteristics of a peacemaker? Peacemaking is the process of bringing about peace especially by reconciling rivals, those in opposition, into agreement. Jesus Christ is often referred to as the Prince of Peace. He is a peacemaker, bringing peace to individuals and the world. He restores the soul relieves our tensions and troubles and brings happiness to our human souls.

Characteristics of peacemakers:
These characteristics are from children’s perspectives, but they apply to adults as well. A peacemaker hates fighting and tries to stop arguments. He/she will never be in trouble with anyone and is the kind of person everyone loves. He/she is a very quiet person and never gets angry with people and situations. He does not demonstrate negativity, instead he/she is very positive in their outlook.
Peacemaking doesn’t mean passivity. It is the act of interrupting injustice without mirroring injustice. It is the careful, relentless pursuit of reconciliation and justice. It seeks to bring about a revolution of love. You can help to bring about peace in your home, in your local communities, and in our global community. We can make every effort to do what leads to peace.
The eighth Beatitude states: “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:10).” This verse reminds us of our calling as those who are separate from this world and our desperate need to renounce the idols of being liked, freeing us from a life of slavery to the opinions of others. Jesus was one such person who was persecuted for righteousness’ sake. In 1Peter 2:20 Peter explains this way: “If you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God.”

Persecution is a painful emotionally, psychologically, and in some instances, even physically. It means to be harassed or punished in a manner designed to injure, grieve, or afflict one to suffer because of their belief. Missionaries are an example of types of people who are persecuted for their belief in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

No matter what you should always stand up for what you believe. Never let anyone take your belief in God away from you. You might not have recognition here on earth for your beliefs, but you will be rewarded one day by God in Heaven.
God bless you and keep you safe. May God grant you the desires of your heart. Stay strong. Remember I appreciate y’all and thank you for visiting.
Miracle Park is a fairly new city park located in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The park is designed for all people is ALL ages and abilities to be able to play together, a place where everyone can feel like they belong.

Miracle Park is being developed in three phases. The first phase was completed, and the park opened to the public in September 2021. It is located between Cherry Road and Eden Terrace. The park has an inclusive playground, sensory wall, and the Miracle Ball Field.

My daughter, grandson, and I visited Miracle Park on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. This was my first time visiting the newly developed park. My grandson, Coleman, was fascinated by all the different aspects in the park where he could touch, climb, swing, and make music.
Only phase one of the park project is open at this time. It is One-of-a-kind inclusive Playground. It was developed so that no matter your age, your physical or mental ability this park is one you will surely enjoy. It has a music section, resistance equipment, an area for interactive games, sensory walls, and a pathway that addresses all five of the senses. The park also maintains a family restroom, Adult changing station, Concession area, One Miracle League Field, A Traditional Baseball field and plenty of unique universal design elements.

Pictured here is the hexagonal climbing apparatus. There is rope and metal areas for children to use to climb to the top as demonstrated by my grandson. Parts of it he had difficulty climbing on his own, so my daughter and I lent a helping hand.

Coleman is discovering how to make sound from the various equipment in the music area of the park. This area also has various sizes of pipes for the children to hit with attached mallets or drumsticks to make music. He really had a fantastic time playing and discovering the innumerable aspects that are a part of this well thought out, planned, and developed park.

My daughter and grandson are interacting on this modern designed Spinner or Merry-go-Round. Not exactly what it is called, but it is similar to a metal merry-go-round I played on as a child. As you can see it was designed for “kids” of all ages.

These swings are not your ordinary swings. They swing from one end to another and back again. The park also has regular swings, toddler and baby swings, as well as a heavy-duty disc swing. The swings were designed for adults and children of all ages and abilities to be able to enjoy and have tons of fun.
If you find yourself in the Rock Hill, South Carolina area and would like to visit Miracle Park, I encourage you to do so. The address is 1006 Eden Terrace, Rock Hill, South Carolina 29730.

In Romans 12:20-21, we are instructed to feed our enemies if they are hungry, give them something to drink if they are thirsty. We should not be like them, instead we should treat them with kindness.
How many of us would rather fight fire with fire 🔥? For many of us, that is probably our first instinct. However, that does not make it right. Being unkind toward others only makes them dislike us more and fuels their emotions against us.
It is better to treat others with kindness no matter how they treat us. Goodness and kindness always generates goodness and kindness. Just like they old saying “ Garbage in, Garbage out.” Positivity brings about positive outcomes. In other words, they best way to turn an enemy towards friendship is to shower them with love and kindness.
“Love you enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.”
Matthew 5:44 NIV (New International Version)
We are commanded by God to love ❤️ our enemies. We are instructed to follow His example in loving those who seek to do us harm. Sometimes it is not easy to love someone, but that doesn’t mean we should treat them badly. We need to treat everyone, friend or foe, with love, respect, and kindness. By doing so, we are illustrating God’s love ❤️ and goodness towards them. It is by our example they’ll become aware of God’s love. It is God’s love that will lead them towards being kind to others, even you.
God bless. Be kind to all. Love everyone. God loves you! I appreciate y’all.

Have a blessed day! Always good to look 👀 at things differently occasionally. Brings about new perspectives and admiration for the beauty around us.

After the week beginning with rain 🌧 showers 🌧, the sun is shining. This meant that my grandson, Coleman, could not be managed to stay inside any longer. He yearns daily for the outdoors and loves to ramble, wander, hike. It doesn’t really matter what we call he, he off and running before I have time to think about it. Hence, I always need to be alert & ready to move at a moments notice, if not before.

I’m having a hard time keeping up, he’s quick. I don’t know where he gets so much energy, morning till evening he’s always ready to ramble. Me, I’m ready for a break before we’ve even left the yard.

Flowers are blooming, spring has arrived. All God’s creations are full of life. Thank you, God, for the beauty you’ve created and place around me so that I might dwell in admiration of your handiwork.
My grandson, Coleman shows no fear. No ladder too tall, no obstacle to difficult, he will overcome anything, if for no other reason than to proof he can. He has an amazing adventurous spirit; I would not do anything to squish it. If you look carefully at the slideshow above, you’ll be able to see what I mean. He might not have any fear, but he’s actions, his climbing sometimes scares me beyond reason.
Today’s been kind of a lazy crazy day. Relaxing and reenergizing in the comforts of home. That however, does not stop 🛑Coleman from his climbing antics. This morning he’s been climbing on a collapsible TV tray. Didn’t matter that it collapsed, he got up and did it all over again.

This is not ours but it similar. It’ll give you an idea of what he was climbing on and falling from when it collapsed.

Have a blessed day. Relax, Recharge, and Reconnect. Thank you for connecting with me today. I appreciate y’all.
What are blessings? Is everyone entitled to receive blessings? Showers of blessings from above, promises of love, and seasons of refreshing. A few of the words are included in a song entitled “Showers of Blessings” by D. W. Whittle aka Daniel Webster. The song, referred to as a hymn, is based on Ezekiel 34:26-27.

The Bible says quite a bit about blessings. Many of those passages instruct us to Bless the Lord. Why do you think God instructs us to bless Him?
“Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
Psalm 103: 1-5
In this passage alone it repeats twice that we should Bless the Lord. Repeating something is emphasizing its importance. Hence, it is to our benefit to comply and follow as instructed. What benefits do we receive from blessing the Lord? First off, what does it mean? To Bless the Lord basically means to praise, exalt, and worship Him. It is coming humbly before the Lord God and recognize His great richness, strength, and graciousness. We are to speak admirably of the Lord. Praise and Honor Him for His greatness and goodness.

I won’t go into all the benefits the Lord graciously give to us, but I will list a few of the here.
Thus, we see The Lord receives blessing, but who else is able to receive a blessing. In Matthew 5: 3-10, it lists various people who shall receive blessings.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, what does it mean? Does it refer to material poverty or to spiritual poverty? It is referring to our spiritual state. When we are poor in spirit, we recognize and understand that nothing we have is of any value, we have nothing to offer Him. Only Jesus Christ can make us worthy in God’s eyes.

Blessed are those who mourn, who does this refer to? Does this refer to those who grieve the loss of a loved one, or a friend? Though these are causes we may suffer deep emotional sadness, it is actually referring to our mourning our sin, our attitude toward sin, our realizing our need for repentance and forgiveness. When we feel sorry and terrible about sinning, then He will comfort us.
We will pick up with Blessed are the meek next time, so stay turned for further insights. God bless. Be a blessing to others. Thank you! I appreciate y’all.

Rain 🌧 or Sunshine ☀️ God has created a beautiful day. God created them both for his purpose. Do you love the rain 🌧 or perhaps you prefer sunshine ☀️?

My grandson doesn’t care if it’s raining 🌧 or the sun is shining. He loves being outdoors either way. It doesn’t bother him to get wet, I don’t even think he realizes he’s getting wet when he sneaks outside. Does rain 🌧 actually harm him? No, but could he become ill from getting soaked by the rain? Maybe 🤔.

What do you think about when you hear showers? Do you think about rain falling from the clouds in the sky? Turning on off a bathroom faucet? Or perhaps you think about showers of love or blessings? Did you know that there is a difference between rain and showers? They both mean rain but their descriptions are slightly different. Rain is precipitation that is continuous and uniform in its intensity. Showers are described as sudden precipitation which starts and stops and has abrupt changes to its intensity. Just a small note: showers may also contain snow.

I mainly think about rain showers when I hear the term showers. However, there are more than two types of showers that have nothing to do with the precipitation from the clouds. There are Wedding showers, Baby showers, Showers of Love, and Showers of Blessings.
A Wedding shower is a party given for both the bride and the groom where males and females are all invited to the party to help the couple celebrate their pending marriage. It is different from a Bridal shower since a bridal shower is only for the bride and only her closest female friends.

A Baby shower is a party where guests shower the mom-to-be with gifts for the soon to arrive baby.

The next two types of showers are not usually involve throwing a party. So, what do they involve? A Shower of love is when you show excessive fondness for someone and shower them with your love and attention.

The last type of shower I’m describing is Showers of Blessings. What are Showers of Blessings?
“I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing.”
Ezekiel 34:26 NIV (New International Version)
Showers of Blessings are depicted as the giving of the blessing from God in Heaven, falling down upon us in a manner similar to rain falling on us. The effect is abundance, fruitfulness, and magnificent growth. The promise in Ezekiel was given to the people of Israel from God. However, it also applies to us in the world today. If we allow God to guide us and to be our Lord, our Shepherd, he will shower us will blessings as well.

May God shower HIs choicest blessings upon you. May He grant you happiness, good health, and shower you with blessings of HIs love. This is my prayer for each and every one of y’all.

Thank you and God Bless. Remember I appreciate y’all and hope you feel free to like, comment, and follow.

Everyone welcomes spring, a time for warmer weather, new growth, and new life. Even those who are extremely sensitive to pollen are glad that the cold 🥶 freezing weather of winter has gone for another year. But do they welcome the fresh pollen that abounds throughout the air? I do not think 🤔 so. I welcome the bright sunshine and days filled with warmth from the sun but I don’t relish the pollen the soars amidst the beautiful skies.

Pollen is a mass of microspores that appear as powdery substances produced by seed plants. The pollen is t4ransported in various ways such as wind, water, or insects. It can cause health problems for humans. People who are known to hay fever are affected when they breathe in the pollen. Once inhaled it can cause sneezing, congestion, and a runny nose. For some, it can also cause red, watery, or itchy eyes. I am affected by all of these symptoms. Common sources of hay fever symptoms and asthma are pollen from grass, weeds and trees.

Over thirty million people are affected by the springtime allergy, hay fever. The above collage shows today’s temperature, pollen count, and the outlook for three types of pollen. As you can see tree pollen is very high and grass pollen is at a moderate risk for today. I am affected by both types of pollen; however, I cannot stay inside all day. My grandson loves the outdoors too much and he’ll sneak out of the house if I don’t go outside with him. Therefore, I have to go outside since he is too young to be outside by himself.

Today, as I was sitting outside with my grandson, i observed several bees hard at work pollenating the flowers. The pollen count for my area was 56 grains today. How is a pollen count calculated? The pollen count is a measure of the pollen density in the air. A device such as an air sampler is used to capture pollen and then it identifies the sample pollens and counts them.

Are you affected by seasonal springtime allergies like I am? If so, what do you do about them? Use allergy medication? Avoid being outdoors? I do use allergy medicine; however, I wait until it is absolutely necessary before I take them. The following is a list of tactics you can use when battling seasonal allergies.

We’ve welcome spring once again, now let us be prepared and take precautions for the seasonal allergies that occur and may we be vigilant about keeping pollen outdoors as much as possible and not indoors to dwell amongst us.
Thank y’all. Remember I appreciate y’all. Feel free to like, comment and follow. Have a Blessed day!

My grandson, Coleman loves to be in the outdoors. He loves to hike through the meadows, forests, or wherever you’ll let him wander.

And off we go on our Monday meanderings. It is a bright sun shiny day. Beautiful morning to spend hiking in nature. Upon entering the trail by our home, we come across the chickens letting us know they roaming free range today.

Let’s hurry on by……Don’t want to get pecked.

We came across down tree branches from the latest rain/windstorms. Bright blue skies, puddles, and an old shed were among our discoveries today.

Coleman decided to check his height against a stack in the middle of the meadow. Now on to more discoveries and enjoying being outdoors.

On the way back, a turn, a smile, more puddles, and an interesting metal squirrel.

Do you think the hike tired him out? No way, he was still full of energy and ready for some swinging.

I hope your day was filled with God’s beauty and were able to enjoy some warmth from the sun shining down upon you. Always know the Son, Jesus Christ, is shining upon your day.
God bless. Try to Get Outdoors, enjoy nature, and be amazed by all that God has created. Remember I appreciate y’all very much. Feel free to like, comment, and follow.

Happy Spring! Spring is a time for new life, new growth, and new beginnings. A time to awaken from the cold dreary days of winter. A time to get outdoors and enjoy the warm sun shining down upon you. A time for long walks enjoying nature and the new growth of flowers popping up in the meadows.

Springtime is the favorite season for some people. Glad to see the snow finally melting away and new life springing forth upon the now lushes fields. Do you enjoy springtime? What do you like about it? I love the warmer weather and seeing all the flowers 🌸 creeping up from the ground.
Sharing a poem, I like, by Patricia L. Cisco:
Song of March
With winter’s footprints in the past,
and snows begin to melt at last.
With longer days and shorter nights,
the wayward winds of March take flight.
Four winds she holds within her grip,
then hurls them from her fingertip.
Her woolly, fleecy clouds of white,
she sets in skies of blue delight.
Her wild bouts of gusty breezes
roar through valleys, hills, and trees.
That high pitch whistling song she sings
awakens earth and flowering things.
She tears a hole in heaven’s sky
so sun can shine and rain can cry.
She gently calms as spring draws near,
as blooming daffodils appear.
She welcomes April showers in,
then gathers up her dwindling winds.
Now her long journey home begins,
knowing she’ll be back this way,
upon a cold, late winter’s day,
when nights grow short
and days grow long.
Listen for her whistling song!

McDowell Nature Preserve is the largest public park in the Charlotte -Mecklenburg County in North Carolina. It spans hundreds of acres along Lake Wylie’s eastern shore. The preserve encompasses a nature center, hiking trails, onsite camping and public boating access. It also contains an untouched piedmont prairie restoration and bird sanctuary. When I visited the preserve the Nature Center was closed due to COVID-19 guideline restrictions.

The Preserve has more than seven miles of hiking/walking trails that anyone can enjoy. The is one paved trail which is accessible to those in wheelchairs and strollers. You can spend a short time at the preserve or all day. There is a tremendous about of things to see and do. It is an appropriate outdoor activity for families and people of any age.

Dogs are welcomed at the Preserve but must remain on a 6-foot or shorter leash at all times. There are doggy stations in various locations for dog owners to use and dispose of their dog’s waste. Remember when in nature…what you bring in you must also carry out.

There are trail signs to help guide you along you hike. There is also a downloadable map online. Public restrooms are available at the large shelters, the nature center, campground, and waterfront. Alone is having no one else around, being by yourself. Lonely describes a feeling of sadness from isolation or abandonment. One can be alone without feeling lonely. And one could be surrounded by people and yet feel very lonely.

Have you ever felt lonely even though you were surrounded by others? Sometimes you can be around family or friends and still feel like you are all alone. You feel empty inside, a feeling of being invisible, being ignored, and or feeling unloved and like no one cares.

Loneliness can be normal, and can be an indicating factor of an underlying disease when feelings become extremely all-consuming and interfere with your daily life. Loneliness is NO fun. It is apparently bad for you. People who are lonely may be a greater risk for some types of inflammatory diseases.
Although loneliness is not considered a mental illness in and of itself, it is, however, strongly linked to mental health issues.

What are some ways to deal with your feelings of loneliness?

Does the Bible say anything about loneliness, feeling alone?
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you, he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV (New International Version)
“Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.”
Psalm 25:16 NIV
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10 NIV

A Prayer for Loneliness:
“Heavenly Father, I need your comfort as I am feeling lonely. Help me to remember that you see me even when others don’t. Be with me through this trial I am going through. Help me understand that I am going through this for a reason and that you will see me through this; That I can conquer this because you are with me.”
God bless. Remember even when you feel lonely, you are never alone. God is with you always. God loves you.
Thank you! I appreciate y’all very much. Feel free to like, comment, and follow.

God bless. Blessings from above to you and yours.

The Lord is good. How do I know? The only thing I know is that He is good to me. He is my protector, my provider, ever present in my life.
He provides me with a place to lay my head, food for nourishment, (both physical and spiritual), keeps me safe no matter what my circumstances may be. Sometimes He uses people to assist with His provisions, allowing them to demonstrate love and kindness. I am grateful for everyone He has placed in my life. Some have helped me in times of need while others have just been there to show God cares for me. His love abounds much.
“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”
1 Chronicles 16:34
“The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.”
Psalm 145:9
“Be thankful to Him, and bless name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting.”
Psalm 100:4-5
The Lord is good. May He bless you with His loving kindness, comfort you, and fill your life with goodness 😊.

Spiritually, the Bridge is symbolic of communication and union. For example a bridge is symbolic of communication between God and man. It could refer to the connection/communication between heaven and earth.
Besides communicating with God, a bridge can symbolize the following:

There are many other symbolism for bridges which I leave you to discover on your own. I will however, deliberate more regarding the Bridge of communicating with God.

In previous posts we’ve learned that prayer is simply talking to God. Prayer is the bridge of communication between God and man. Do you believe prayer 🙏🏼 is a bridge? Do you believe in prayer, talking to God? I believe prayer is a bridge to communicating with God. Do I pray? Not often enough, even though I believe God answers prayers.

Is the only time we pray when we make a mess of our lives or when we panic? Why is it that in times of difficulty we turn to prayer? Is it because our instincts, our beliefs, lead us to pray in hard times? The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Do we put God on hold until we realize we cannot fix our own problems? I know I am not in the habit of praying like I should.
Why do we choose to pray? Has someone suggested to us? Have we learned it from others? We choose to pray to God because we have faith that He will answer. Our faith leads us to choose to communicate with God. Our faith leads us to believe that God can fix any problem or situation we find ourselves in.

” Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
Hebrews 11:1 NIV (New International Version)
Faith is the bridge we build to heaven each time we feel drawn to pray and desire to be closer to Jesus. The more our faith increase, the more we choose to pray and develop a strong bridge of communication between ourselves and God.
Therefore, we have discovered that both prayer and faith are types of bridges that can and will connect us to God if we so choose.

Whether you choose to build a bridge to God through Faith and Prayer is up to you. I believe God holds the answers to any and all problems, therefore, I choose to have faith in God and pray to Him. Faith and prayer are my bridges to a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ. What are your bridges? Do you choose to pray? Build your bridges to a better life.
